Swann to launch new warranty program for Ford dealers

Swann Insurance will offer Ford motor dealers a new range of extended warranty products from mid June, following a decision to end its current warranty partnership with the Ford Motor Company. 

Head of Swann Insurance, Stuart Chapman, said the new distribution approach was the best outcome for Ford, Swann and its dealer agents.

“Our new ‘BlueCare’ warranty products offer superior cover and more attractive pricing than the current ‘Ford Solutions’ offering,” he said.

“Other benefits for dealers include flexible coverage options for a wider range of vehicles and streamlined processes for lodgment and the payment of claims.

“When you put it all together, BlueCare provides Ford dealers with an exciting opportunity to boost their income and improve vehicle service retention.”

The new BlueCare offering includes Contract Warranty and Insurance Warranty product options.

Mr Chapman said Swann valued its long-standing partnership with the Ford Motor Company.

“We’re parting with Ford on good terms and we’re open to partnering with them again in the future if a suitable opportunity arises,” he said.

Swann will cease offering the current Ford Solutions warranty range on 13 June 2008.  Swann affiliated Ford dealers will be invited to move to the new BlueCare range from 2 June 2008.
