We collect personal information from policyholders for the purpose of providing insurance products, services, and processing and assessing claims.
Policyholders can choose not to provide this information, however, we may not be able to process their requests.
We may disclose information we hold about a policyholder to:
- Other insurers,
- An insurance reference service,
- Any third party with whom a policyholder has been dealing in respect of their insurance and who referred them to Swann Insurance,
- Our service providers and/or advisers, and
- Any other third party as permitted or required by law.
In the event of a claim, we may disclose information to and/or collect additional information about a policyholder from investigators or legal advisers.
When policyholders provide information about another person, such as a named driver, the policyholder should ensure that person is made aware that their information is being provided to us. We may use their information in the same way as we use information about a policyholder.
When applying for insurance policyholders can select to receive offers of products and services which may be of benefit to them. During the period of insurance we may, or any other organisation we authorise may, provide these offers. Policyholders may be contacted in writing, by phone or other electronic means. If they do not wish to receive these offers they can select not to receive them when applying for insurance, or they can contact us at any other time.
If policyholders wish to update or access any information, they should contact us. If any person whom they have provided information to us about, wish to access their information, either the policyholder or the other person may contact us.
